Slow Hands, better known to his classmates as Ryan Cavanagh, brings you The Formal EP, the highly anticipated 10th release on More Or Less. This Vermont native, turned NYC stalwart, has created a name for himself in recent years with releases on Wolf Lamb, Moodgadget, Future Classic and Internasjonal (as part of Worst Friends). With a recent string of successful tour stops in Europe, Mexico and Japan, Slow Hands’ has been anything but slow.

Belle Of The Ball instantly hooks you with it’s infectious percussion and catchy guitar riffs. No Regular Play tries to cut in with your date, and they succeed. The resulting remix heats things up, prompting the chaperons to force the writhing couples back to arm’s length. The bass-line is enough to get it banned from future events, just imagine if the headmaster knew what the vocals were saying!

Lucky for you, and your Headgear, this next track is not a slow dance. Besides, you really wouldn’t want to get that thing stuck in her dress. For this one the tempo gets turned up a bit, the guitar riffs get a little funkier and synth lines flow like the booze you snuck in. It’s OK to leave your coat in the car for the after-party, especially with Graham Hatke running remix duties. He carefully takes the original’s Latin inspired percussion and molds it into a late 90’s house tinged creeper that will keep you moving til dawn.
